Adrian Mitchell was born on March 23rd, 1952. He currently resides in River Sallee in the Constituency of St. Patrick’s East. He received his early education at the River Salle Government School and the St. George’s Government School. He graduated to Presentation Brothers College where he excelled both academically and athletically. Adrian later attended Hunter College in New York.
It was in New York that he began his work experience. Having been employed in various international financial organisations. Upon his return to Grenada he held the position of Manager at Time Limited located in his hometown of River Sallee. Adrian endeavoured, with great success, to make viable contributions to community development, especially in the area of sport and culture development.
In his desire to make a contribution on a more nationalistic level, Adrian Mitchell formally entered politics in 1995. His entry was successful, a trait which he has exhibited throughout his life. He has since served Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique at the Ministerial level in several aspects suited to his expertise. He is currently the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Development. His contributions to these aspects in terms of national development are undeniable. He has always striven for excellence and he has never compromised in the attainment of any goal.
Despite the demands placed on him in his position as Minister, Adrian has always maintained his contribution at the community level. He is Manager, Coach and Sponsor at both the Piton Strider Track Club, and the Hard Rock Football Club.
Adrian Mitchell is a man dedicated to development. He holds to the belief that in order to build himself, he must first build his country. His contributions in the areas of Youth, Sports, Community Development and Culture are a testament to this. There is no one better suited to representing the best interests of the Constituency of St. Patrick’s East than Adrian Mitchell.
